DESCRIPTION:SCARC Field Day Academy 2022 will be held in the Oak Woods Shel

 tional event details here: Field Day Academy 2022\n\nSetup\, orientation\,
  and hands-on training and demonstration activities will begin at 08:00 an
 d continue until 10:00. ALL participants should plan to attend this portio
 n of the event if possible - even if their on-air coaching reservation is 
 later in the day. The on-air activity will take the form of a Parks On The
  Air (POTA) activation for which the operator will receive "credit" for th
 e QSOs they make.\n\nA link to last year’s recorded training is availabl
 e for viewing on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/6K7oWG6RybM. If you sign u
 p for an on-air session\, watching this pre-event training is VERY STRONGL
 Y encouraged. If you participated in last year’s training\, viewing this
  again may be a good refresher for you. Topics include on-air protocol and
  logging procedures\, radio and software familiarization\, tips for making
  contacts and holding a frequency while calling CQ\, example QSO exchanges
  for Field Day and POTA activations\, and recordings of previous live Fiel
 d Day and POTA contacts to allow advance practice.\n\nOn-air activity will
  commence at 10:00. Guests and observers are welcome to attend\, however o
 n-air participation will be restricted to a single operator for their rese
 rved timeslot. Participants should only sign up for ONE on-air timeslot ho
 wever everyone is STRONGLY encouraged to participate for both setup AND to
  observe at least a portion of the on-air activities of other participants
 . If no one has signed up for an available timeslot\, it will be available
  on a first-come basis on the day of the event.\n\nThe event will close fo
 r registration at midnight on Friday June 10\, 2022\n\n&nbsp\;
